Peace candles

Graduate student Mauricio La Rota, treasurer of the Colombian Student Association of Cornell, lights candles during a peace vigil on Ho Plaza Oct. 24. Participants had first walked silently around the Arts Quad. The "Solidarity Walk for the Peace in Colombia" was organized by the association to join the efforts "of millions of Colombians planning to conduct similar walks through the streets of major cities in Colombia and abroad," organizers said.
