Timothy Campbell
Assistant professor, Romance studies
College: Arts and Sciences
Academic focus: Modern Italian studies; fascism and technology; media
studies and systems theory; radio art, war
memoirs and trash Italian police films of the 1970s.
Previous position: Teacher of English at the Institute of Business
Management, Bologna Italy, 1996-97.

Patricia Cassano
Assistant professor, nutritional sciences
College: Division of Nutritional Sciences
Academic focus: Her research program focuses on the nutritional epidemiology
of chronic diseases. One current area of specialization is the influence of nutrition,
particularly antioxidants, on lung health, including both chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease and asthma risk.
Previous position: Senior research associate, nutritional sciences, Cornell.

Margaret M. Kroma
Assistant professor, education
College: Agriculture and Life Sciences
Academic focus: Her research examines the process of specialized farmer
knowledge and how that knowledge affects the farm's management practices and
agricultural productivity. Participating with farmers domestically and internationally, she
is looking at how to integrate that information into extension practice.
Previous position: Research associate, North Central Regional Center
for Rural Development, Iowa State University, 1999-2000.

Dennis Reynolds
Assistant professor, food and beverage management
College: Hotel Administration
Academic focus: Current research and teaching interests include contract
food-service management, human resource management in the food-service industry,
group process and leadership.
Previous position: Adjunct instructor, food and beverage management, School
of Hotel Administration, Cornell, 1998-2000; vice president and general manager of
operations, Nutrition Management Services, retirement community division,
Kimberton, Pa., 1995-96.
Academic background: B.S. hotel, restaurant and institutional
management, Golden State University, 1990; and
M.P.S., 1992, and Ph.D., 2000, both from the
School of Hotel Administration, Cornell.
Eric Tagliacozzo
Assistant professor, history
College: Arts and Sciences
Academic focus: History of Southeast Asia; history of frontiers and
smuggling; and history of maritime trade.
Previous position: Postdoctoral fellow, University of British
Columbia, 1999-2000.
