| The ad hoc group the CLIPers (Cornell Landscape Improvement Program) -- from left, Barlow Ware (Development), John Ullberg (Planning), Julie Cary (Administration), Jeffrey Lallas (Facilities), Dennis Osika (Grounds) and (not shown) Laurene Gilbert (landscape designer) -- formed several years ago as advocates and stewards for Cornell's landscape. Over the years they've provided consistent long-range planning and design and have sponsored the writing of a landscape master plan and design guidelines for various areas on campus and spearheaded several recent campus beautification projects. On Dec. 6 they received a special award from the Ithaca Rotary Club's Pride of Ownership Award Program for their efforts. Charles Harrington/University Photography |
