Lecture focus is women in science

Many women at research universities nationwide still describe negative experiences as they pursue careers in science and engineering. Numerous campuses, including Cornell, have developed programs to recruit and retain women in those fields. Do they work?

Priscilla Auchincloss, director of the Program for Women in Science and Engineering at the University of Rochester, will discuss that question in a lecture presented by the College of Engineering Wednesday, March 1, at 4:45 p.m. in Room 101 Phillips Hall. The lecture will be preceded by a reception outside the hall's entrance beginning at 4:15 p.m.

The reception and lecture are open to the public.
