Cook Award honorees

Winners of this year's Cook Recognition Award, established by the Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (ACSW), were honored during an ACSW luncheon April 19 in Balch Dining Room. The award, named in honor of Constance Cook, the university's first woman vice president, and Alice Cook, the late professor emerita in Industrial and Labor Relations and a founding ACSW member, honors individuals in the Cornell community for their contributions relating to women and/or women's issues. This year's winners -- with Robert Harris, vice provost for diversity and faculty development, top left, and Francille Firebaugh, director of special projects, top right -- are, from left. top: Lourdes Beneria, professor of city and regional planning; Kathryn Boor, professor of food science; K.C. Wagner, senior associate, ILR Extension Division NYC; and bottom: Phyllis Moen, professor of human development; and Katie Dealy, senior, Arts and Sciences. Charles Harrington/University Photography
