The Cornell Department of Theatre, Film and Dance presents its Spring Dance Theatre Concert May 4-6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Class of '56 Dance Theatre in the Cornell Center for Theatre Arts.

The hour-long concert features six pieces performed to live and recorded music and dance set to poetry and the spoken word, appropriate for audiences of all ages.

"This concert has an intimate feel," said Tatiana Thieme '00, dance concert co-coordinator. "It has a small cast, and the nature of the pieces form a personalized connection to the audience."

A highlight of the concert is a 30-minute dance choreographed by Ellen London '00 in collaboration with seven musicians from the Department of Music.

"In this piece the dancers are interspersed with the musicians. It's a real sharing of space," said Rachel Boggia '01, the dance concert's other coordinator.

Tickets to the Spring Dance Theatre Concert are $4. A discussion following the concert will be held each evening.

Call or visit the CTA box office, 430 College Ave., weekdays, 12:30-5:30 p.m.; 254-ARTS.
