Throughout the summer on Wednesday nights, Cornell Cinema presents some of the finest films made about the circus world of bareback riders and high flyers, clowns and acrobats, lion tamers and sideshow wonders. The series kicks off June 21 with Charlie Chaplin's "The Circus." When a flight from the law lands him in the midst of a touring troupe, the Little Tramp staggers, careens and tumbles his way through some of the most amazing slapstick routines of the era, making the most of the circus setting.
