The School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions at Cornell will present the fifth annual Computer Policy and Law Seminar July 25-28 in the Statler Hotel on campus.
This program is designed for everyone involved in developing, implementing and enforcing technology policies in higher education. The presenters -- nationally recognized technologists and legal experts -- will help participants examine how the widespread use of the Internet is impacting campus policies, procedures and judicial systems.
Through lectures, case studies and panel discussions, presenters will explore topics including Internet technology, cyberspace law, developing computer-use policies, Internet service provider liability, online privacy, copyright in cyberspace, the future of copyright laws and governing the Internet.
Together, these program sessions will provide an excellent opportunity for university attorneys, judicial officers, technology administrators, risk managers, webmasters, publications directors, and public relations administrators to learn about and prepare for the increasingly digital campus.
