Frat reunion, without the house

Cornell alumni from Alpha Phi Delta at Cornell and their spouses, gather at the site of the former fraternity, 640 Stewart Ave., during Reunion Weekend. Pictured are, from left, Jaxon Teck '65, Bill Getman '65, Dennis Osika '64 (now director of the Grounds Department at Cornell), Louise Osika, Chuck Gould '65, Arlene Helfrich Tek '65 and Dave Bridgeman '65. The fraternity house was demolished in the early '70s and only the stone entrance walkway steps and a magnificent copper beech tree (in the background in the photo) remain from the fraternity's front lawn. The five frat brothers pictured are Cornell ROTC alumni, and each served in the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. The fraternity's full membership will return for a reunion on campus in 2005.
