| The photographs of a beloved Cornell professor -- Frederick G. Marcham, the Goldwin Smith Professor of English History and Cornell teacher for 69 years and mayor of the village of Cayuga Heights for 32 years who died in 1992 -- are the subject of a book published by the DeWitt Historical Society. The Photographs of Frederick G. Marcham, authored by his son, John Marcham '50, contains 90 of F.G. Marcham's pictures, plus biographical notes and pictures of him. The 112-page softcover edition is available from the Tompkins County Museum, 401 E. State St., Ithaca, N.Y. 14850 ($21.95 plus $4 shipping and handling) and soon will be available at bookstores. A hardcover edition will be available in July. The photograph above shows the crowd in Schoellkopf Field's west stands at the moment the deciding point after touchdown is being kicked by Cornell in a 27-26 football win over Dartmouth in 1948.
