Polishing his image

Katherine Holbrow, right, conservator of objects from the Williamstown Art Conservation Center, and Adam Nesbit, master apprentice from the center, complete repairs July 12 on the sculpture "Herakles at Ithaka" by Jason Seley, the late Cornell professor of art. The sculpture, located on Peter Plaza between Statler Hotel and Uris Hall, had developed a hole in one of the feet as well as other signs of wear and tear. The repairs are part of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art's ongoing care and preservation of works in its permanent collection. Funding for the project was provided by an anonymous donor. Charles Harrington/University Photography
