QuickTime seminars: Cornell faculty, staff and graduate students will have the opportunity to learn how to add video, sound, animation and interactive graphics to web sites using Apple's QuickTime Pro. George Cook, Apple systems engineer, is leading a series of eight free seminars in 100 Caldwell Hall. No registration is required. The next two seminars, "QuickTime Breadth and Depth" and "Embedding QuickTime in Your Web Pages," are scheduled for 3-4 p.m., Sept. 27 and Oct. 10. The seminars are sponsored by Cornell Information Technologies' Academic Technology Center.

Students sought: The following faculty committees are seeking students who have an interest in becoming members for 2000-01. The Faculty Committee on University Lectures (needs two, one graduate and one undergraduate); University Faculty Library Board (needs one, an undergraduate); University-ROTC Relationships Committee (needs four, non-ROTC students). Application forms are available at the Office of the Dean of the Faculty, 315 Day Hall. Both graduate and undergraduate students are urged to apply. Completed applications must be returned to that office by Sept. 29. Applications for other faculty committees that have student members are available at the Office of the Assemblies, 165 Day Hall.
