The U.S. Women's National Hockey Team will be making a stop in Ithaca Sunday, Oct. 28, as part of its VISA Skate to Salt Lake Tour. During the tour, the team will travel across the nation in preparation for the XIX Olympic Winter Games, to be held Feb. 8-24 in Salt Lake City. This will be the team's only stop in central New York.
The National Team will play a game at 1 p.m. in Lynah Rink against the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Stars. Select players from all of the ECAC teams will make up the All-Stars squad.
Cornell's own Erinn Perushek and Brooke Bestwick have been selected to the ECAC All-Star squad.
Tickets -- $11 for adults, $5 for youth -- are available through the Cornell athletic ticket office, 254-BEAR.
