The women's vocal group Anonymous 4, the Cornell University Glee Club and Chorus, the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, vocal soloists Linda Larson, Beth Ray, David Parks and Timothy LeFebvre, and conductor Scott Tucker will all be on stage to perform the Ithaca premiere of Richard Einhorn's Voices of Light Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. in Bailey Hall.

The 80-minute oratorio, written in 1993, was inspired by the 1928 Carl Dreyer film "The Passion of Joan of Arc," which will be shown concurrently with the performance of the oratorio.

Tickets for the concert range from $11 to $23 for adults and $7 to $14 for students. Tickets are available at the Willard Straight Hall ticket office (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, noon-5 p.m.; call 255-3430), the Clinton House ticket center (116 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca; Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; call 273-4497) or via the Cornell Concert Series web site at www.arts.cornell.edu/ccs.

Voices of Light is a unique theatrical experience that combines music and film to explore the extraordinary life of the 19-year-old warrior saint Joan of Arc. Inspired and accompanied by Carl Dreyer's silent film, Voices of Light takes its texts from the writings of numerous female medieval mystics and other compelling poets and visionaries.

Anonymous 4, called "the vocal ensemble of the decade" by CD Review, makes its second appearance on the Cornell Concert Series. Renowned for its astonishing vocal blend and virtuosity, the ensemble increasingly has been involved in new music. In addition to Voices of Light, Anonymous 4 has premiered new works by Steve Reich and John Tavener.
