Richard Schuler, right, director of the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs and professor of economics and civil and environmental engineering, is interviewed by Elizabeth Harness of News Center 7 before his lecture Jan. 25 in Phillips Hall Auditorium on "Electricity Deregulation: Bonanza, Chaos and Crossed Wires." Schuler has made a study of the effects of competitive markets on the reliable operation of the electricity supply system as part of a National Science Foundation-funded group of economists and engineers at Cornell.
