Interpreter/translators needed: Volunteers are needed to be interpreter/translators with the Language Expansion Program (LEP). Those who are bilingual and fluent in a language other than English are needed for the LEP's Interpreter/Translator Program. Volunteers can assist Ithaca and Tompkins County in emergency and nonemergency situations; no previous experience is necessary. Sign up at the Public Service Center, 200 Barnes Hall, or e-mail the Language Expansion Program at ExpandLanguage@cornell.edu. LEP's certification program requires attendance at one workshop, on March 10, and passing a language test to demonstrate fluency. Volunteers in 25 different languages are needed.

Coaches vs. Cancer game: The Friday, March 2, Cornell vs. Dartmouth women's basketball game beginning at 7 p.m. in Newman Arena will be a Coaches vs. Cancer game, with $1 of each ticket sold being used to fight cancer through funding American Cancer Society (ACS) programs of research, education, advocacy and service. Coaches vs. Cancer is a partnership begun in 1993 between the ACS and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
