| While in the United States on May 4 to research distance learning for application in Chinese legal education, Professor Li Ming, left, deputy dean of Peking University Law School, met with Claire M. Germain, center, the Edward Cornell Law Librarian and professor of law at Cornell, and Lee E. Teitelbaum, the Allan R. Tessler Dean of Cornell Law School and professor of law. Li manages the first legal web site in China (Chinalawinfo.com , established in 1985), and during his visit he sought the expertise of Peter W. Martin, co-director of Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute, which has one of the world's most heavily visited web sites and was a recent nominee for a prestigious "Webby" Award.
