| Pat Driscoll, left, alumni affairs and development coordinator, purchases some baked goods near Day Hall June 8 from Ayana Richardson, center, and Becky Zehr, both from the Office of Financial Aid. The sale was a fund-raiser for the office's Relay for Life team, which will take part in the American Cancer Society benefit event June 13-14 at Ithaca High School. Several Cornell offices have teams participating in the event. For more information about the Relay for Life or helping one of teams, contact June Losurdo at 227-2276. | Robert Purcell Community Center (RPCC) staff collected 41 boxes of canned goods, pasta and other unopened food items this May from students cleaning out their residence hall rooms before break, and they distributed the boxes to Loaves and Fishes and The Salvation Army's Kitchen Cupboard. Cornell Catering donated the use of a truck for the delivery. Above, RPCC staff member William Horning (on the truck) delivers boxes to Loaves and Fishes staff member Neil Golder. Michael Barry |
