Writing with metal

This metal sculpture is from the exhibition "Rachid Koraïchi: Path of Roses, Beirut's Poem, A Nation in Exile," on view Nov. 9-Jan. 12, 2003, at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. The sculpture is a piece of calligraphy from the installation "Path of Roses." Koraïchi will be at the opening reception for the exhibition at the museum, Saturday, Nov. 9, 5-7 p.m. It is free and open to all. Johnson Museum of Art

Winners of the 2001 Young Artists Competition of the National Federation of Music Clubs, pianist David Shimoni and violinist Carrie Kennedy, join local musicians in a concert Nov. 10 at 2:30 p.m. in Barnes Hall. The concert features works by American composers Barber, Copland, Husa and Marshall, among others. This concert is in memory of Barbara Irish, past president of NFMC.

The Cornell Campus Club Bus Tour of Seneca Falls will be Nov. 14 from 8:50 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bus will leave from the parking lot at Cinemas 4 across from Bill Cooke's.
