Enron collapse examined

A teach-in on the Enron case in Uris Auditorium, Feb. 6, included, from right, Johnson Graduate School of Management School Dean Robert Swieringa, Johnson School Professors Maureen O'Hara and Harold Bierman Jr. and Cornell Law School Professor Jonathan Macey. Swieringa, who served on the Financial Accounting Standards Board for 10 years, from 1986 to 1996, said that the Enron collapse offered a window into some long-standing accounting controversies, among them consolidation accounting, which allowed Enron to avoid reporting on dealings with some partners.
