| Jules Pretty, a world-renowned expert in the field of sustainable development and the director of the Centre for the Environment at the University of Essex in England, lectures on the topic "Genetic Modification and Agriculture: Science, Risks, Ethics and Public Policy," March 7 in Room G-10 of the Biotechnology Building. This is Pretty's first visit as a Cornell A.D. White Professor-at-Large, during which he has given open lectures, participated in seminars and in classes and met with students.
