Artist and architect James Hubbell, right, internationally known for work that connects the worlds of art and architecture with the natural environment, speaks
with Mary Mitchell, a Cornell master's student in landscape architecture, and Frank Becker, Cornell professor and chair of the Department of Design and
Environmental Analysis, at the south end of Cass Park, the proposed site for the Ithaca Children's Garden. Hubbell, who spoke on campus April 29 on the topic "Celebrate
Mystery with Children and Nature," conducted an afternoon design workshop at the Cornell Cooperative Extension building and at the site to envision ideas for the
children's garden.
