| John FitzGibbon, center, as movie-location scout Bob Beeman having his troubles in Ithaca, N.Y., is shown in a scene from "Green Lights" -- the drama/comedy film about big aspirations in a small town. It was produced by first-time director Robert H. Lieberman, the novelist and senior lecturer in physics at Cornell who also wrote the screenplay, and award-winning cinematographer Slawomir Grunberg. Shot in Ithaca and employing many Ithacans in the cast, it has received excellent reviews from publications such as Variety. The film will be screened as a NewFilmmakers Feature Presentation at the Anthology Film Archives Theater (212-505-5181), 32 Second Ave. in New York City, Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. Ithaca Movies Inc. |
