| Since January of 2000 Cornell officials have been meeting annually with union representatives and local contractors to work on developing long-term strategic objectives for increasing the representation of women and minorities within the skilled trades. This year's meeting was held Jan. 13 at Tompkins County Public Library. The keynote speaker, above right, was Frank Daniel from the Buffalo Building Trades Development Partnership, and among those taking part were Mary George Opperman, top left, Cornell vice president for human resources, and Lynette Chappell-Williams, director of Cornell's Office of Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality.
