Faculty Tenure Actions
The following university faculty tenure actions were approved this past year by the Cornell Board of Trustees at its meeting in March, May and October.
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
Beth A. Ahner, assistant professor, Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.
Arthur T. DeGaetano, associate professor, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective Nov. 1, 2003.
John E. Losey, assistant professor, Department of
Entomology, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective
Nov. 1, 2003.
Per Pinstrup-Andersen, professor, Division of Nutritional Sciences, was re-elected professor with indefinite tenure, effective
Nov. 1, 2003.
Frank S. Rossi, assistant professor, Department of Horticulture, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.
Dietram A. Scheufele, assistant professor, Department of Communication, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective
Nov. 1, 2003.
James R. Schupp, assistant professor, Department of Horticultural Sciences, New
York State Agricultural Experiment Station at Geneva, was elected associate professor with
indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.
Joseph B. Walther, associate professor, Department of Communication, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective
Nov. 1, 2003.

Ann-Margaret Esnard, assistant professor, Department of City and Regional Planning, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.
Todd V. McGrain, assistant professor, Department of Art, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.

associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective Nov.
1, 2003.
Kelvin H. Lee, assistant professor, School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective April 1, 2003.

Lillian J. Lee, assistant professor, Department of Computer Science, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.

David Sherwyn, assistant professor, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.
S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management
Stuart L. Hart was elected the Samuel Curtis Johnson Professor of Sustainable Global Enterprise and was elected professor with indefinite tenure, effective with his
appointment July 1, 2003.
Law School
Michael Heise was elected professor with indefinite tenure, Cornell Law School, effective July 1, 2003.
Jeffrey S. Lehman was elected professor with indefinite tenure, Cornell Law School, effective with his July 1, 2003, appointment as president of Cornell.
College of Veterinary Medicine
Patrick L. McDonough, assistant professor, Department of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, effective July 1, 2003.
