Fashion show test:What does it take to put on a retail-based fashion show and is it worth it? That's the problem that 19 students in Nancy Breen's course, Textiles and Apparel 444: Apparel/Textile Retailing and Distribution, undertook. During Homecoming Weekend they organized and conducted a fashion show at the Cornell Store Oct. 24 of clothing sold by the store. Their planning included publicity, setup, commentary and selection of clothing and models. They will determine whether the fashion show helped boost sales by comparing differences in sales between this year's and last year's Homecoming Weekend and reviewing sales data for apparel worn in the show. Their findings will be complete by Dec. 1.
