Tenure Actions

The following tenure actions were approved by the Cornell Board of Trustees at its November 2002 and January 2003 meetings.

College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Nancy H. Chau, assistant professor, Department of Applied Economics and Management, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Eugene L. Madsen, assistant professor, Department of Microbiology, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Edward L. Mills, senior research associate, Department of Natural Resources, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Lars G. Rudstam, senior research associate, Department of Natural Resources, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Arthur L. Wilson, associate professor, Department of Education, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

College of Arts and Sciences

Andrew G. Clark, professor, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

J.C. Séamus Davis, professor with indefinite tenure, University of California-Berkeley, was elected professor with indefinite tenure, Department of Physics, Cornell.

Stephen S. Eikenberry, assistant professor, Department of Astronomy, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Dong Lai, assistant professor, Department of Astronomy, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Linda K. Nicholson, assistant professor, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Amy Villarejo, assistant professor, Department of Theatre, Film and Dance, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

David G. Yearsley, assistant professor, Department of Music, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

College of Engineering

W. Kent Fuchs, the Joseph Silbert Dean of the College of Engineering and professor, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Ephrahim Garcia, associate professor, Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Wenxin Jiang, associate professor with indefinite tenure, Northwestern University, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure, School of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering, Cornell, effective with his regular appointment, anticipated for July 1, 2003.

Ulrich B. Wiesner, associate professor, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

School of Hotel Administration

Jeffrey S. Harrison, the Fred G. Peelen Professor of Hospitality Global Strategy, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Daniel W.C. Quan, associate professor, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

College of Human Ecology

Suzanne Loker, professor, Department of Textiles and Apparel, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Rebecca J. Stoltzfus, associate professor, Division of Nutritional Sciences, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.

Law School

Steven D. Clymer, associate professor, was elected professor with indefinite tenure.

Emily Sherwin, professor with indefinite tenure, University of San Diego School of Law, was elected professor with indefinite tenure, Cornell Law School, effective with her appointment anticipated for July 2003.

College of Veterinary Medicine

Theodore G. Clark, assistant professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, was elected associate professor with indefinite tenure.
