Notices should be sent to arrive 10 days prior to publication and should include the name and telephone number of a person who can be called if there are questions.

Notices should also include the subheading of the calendar in which the item should appear.

Johnson Museum of Art
The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, on the corner of University and Central avenues, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Telephone: 255-6464.

* A Japanese-style tea house, built by Cornell students, is on view through the summer.
* Articipation: What do photography, Japanese woodblock prints and the work of Degas have in common? Find out in this hands-on, minds-on afternoon of activities for children and families July 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.
* Art Break: The world premiere performance of "Visions" by Laurie Conrad will be July 13 at 3 p.m. Harpist Myra Kovary also will perform other pieces from various time periods.
* Art for Lunch: July 17 at noon, Andrea Inselmann investigates Nicole Eisenman's mural made for the museum's gallery.
* Summer Party: July 18 from 5 to 7 p.m., enjoy a summer evening at the museum, with live music, refreshments, a wine bar and lots of art.

Cornell Business & Technology Park
The Cornell Business and Technology Park is sponsoring a free outdoor concert July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at 15 Thornwood Drive. The featured artist will be The Destination. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets and enjoy free ice cream.
Summer Session
Classical concerts are offered Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Kiplinger Theatre of the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. Free tickets (four per person) are required for all classical concerts and are available beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Kiplinger Theatre on the day of the performance.
July 15: The Clinton String Quartet comes to Cornell to perform Shostakovich's Quartet No. 8 in C minor, as well as the music of Samuel Pellman and Joaquin Turina. For more information visit the Web site http://www.clintonstringquartet.co.
* July 22: Cornell faculty member Jim Self joins with Christine Doempke, Pete Rush of the Hangar Theatre's Next Generation School of Theatre, Toshav Storrs of Southside Community Center, students and area youth to explore the creation of structured energetic movement. This fun and lively program of dance and movement theater, titled "Brake-ables," combines improvisation, popular dance forms and invented games.

Outdoor concerts are Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on the Arts Quad (rain location: Uris Hall Auditorium).
* July 11: Well-known to listeners of Bill Knowlton's "Bluegrass Ramble," the husband-and-wife team of Bill and Maggie Anderson bring their gentle harmonies to old-time favorites as well as contemporary originals.

Bound for Glory
Akire Bubar performs July 13, and Mike Agranoff performs July 20. Bound for Glory is broadcast Sundays from 8 to 11 p.m. from the Café at Anabel Taylor Hall, with live sets at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. Admission is free; kids are welcome. Listen to Bound for Glory on WVBR-FM, 93.5 and 105.5.
