Study subjects sought:Participants are being sought for a study investigating the reasons that people of all shapes and sizes choose to begin eating and to stop eating. Through the use of "food event logs," the researchers hope to uncover patterns in the reasons surrounding why participants choose to pick up and put down the fork throughout the day. Participants for the study are being recruited throughout July and August of 2003. A Web site -- http://www.nutritionstudies.com/eating -- with all the study details, including information about possible compensation, has been developed to help potential participants determine if participation in this study is right for them. Individuals are being sought who are:healthy, over 18 years of age, and men and women of all weight categories in the central New York area. To sign up, contact the principal investigator via e-mail at lan24@cornell.edu or by phone at 261-0500, or sign up via the study Web site. The study has been approved through the Cornell Human Subjects Committee through May of 2004.
