DAAD fellowships:Applications are now invited for the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellowships for the academic year 2004-05. DAAD fellowships carry tuition and fees, monthly stipends ranging from 715 euro to 975 euro for 10 months and a 520 euro to 1,022 euro allowance for travel. The fellowships enable students to study at a German university or to work on a research project in Germany. Applications should include an updated CV, a project outline and/or rationale for study in Germany, Cornell transcript, two letters of recommendation from professors in the student's field, local address, telephone number and e-mail address. The competition is open to graduating seniors, graduate students and recent Ph.D.s and postdoctoral researchers from all schools and colleges of the university except medicine, veterinary medicine and pharmacy. Graduating seniors apply for Deutschlandjahr Scholarships, all others for DAAD Graduate Scholarships.
