New ILR buildings open

The ribbons, both emblazoned with the words "ILR Advancing the World of Work," were "symbolic of the interwoven cross-currents of labor and management" that have characterized the school since its inception, said Lehman. Also participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony (but not in the photo) were Kenneth Kahn '69, ILR, who made the lead gift toward the project, Judge James Lack, who, as a New York State senator, helped secure funding, and Stuart GraBois, representing the Carpenters Union, whose members were involved in the project's completion.
