The mayor of the city of Ithaca, Carolyn Peterson, in conjunction with the Cornell Office of Community Relations and the Campus-Community Coalition, will be holding a public discussion session Monday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, located at 109 Oak Ave. in Collegetown.
This session is to encourage a dialogue between everyone concerned with personal safety and other related concerns -- particularly the recent intruder incidents in the Collegetown area. Participants will include Peterson, Common Council members, representatives from the city's police and building departments, officials from Cornell and members of the Landlords' Association of Tompkins County.
