Funa Maduka wins the 2004 Perkins Prize

The 2004 James A. Perkins Prize for Interracial Understanding and Harmony at Cornell was presented Wednesday, April 21, to senior Funa Maduka, student trustee, for her efforts in creating the course Government 210: Race in the United States and at Cornell. The 10th annual Perkins Prize ceremony was held in the Willard Straight Memorial Room.

The Cornell Chronicle will have a full report on the award and the ceremony in its April 29 edition.

The Perkins Prize was established in 1994 by Thomas W. Jones '69, MRP '72, Cornell trustee emeritus, to honor James A. Perkins, Cornell's seventh president.
