| The American Cancer Society was given a check for more than $4,300 by representatives of the Cornell football team, May 18, at the Tompkins Trust Co. The money was raised through the team's Touchdowns for Hope effort last season, providing funds to help fight cancer and promote men's health. Included in the donation was a pledge of $1,700 from Tompkins Trust Co. With the check, from left, are Cornell Professor Emeritus Dalva Hedlund, co-facilitator of the Man to Man support group; Cornell student Neil Morrissey '04, the event's organizer; and Cornell's Scott Thompson, a member of the American Cancer Society Board of Advisors.
