Relay honors POW/MIA Day

James Doehring '08, mechanical and aerospace engineering and Navy midshipman, 4th class, left, and Ben Fleming '06, operations research engineering and Army cadet, right, hand off the flag to Mike Kim '06, biology and Army cadet, during Cornell ROTC units' road relay Sept. 24 in front of the War Memorial on West Campus. The relay was part of the ROTC units' observation of National POW/MIA Recognition Day. The cadets, in groups of three, carried the U.S. and ROTC/MIA flags around campus from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cadets also gave tours of the Memorial Shrine and later gathered at Myers Point Park in Lansing for the annual watch fire and vigil for those taken prisoner or still missing in action.
