Exhibit honors student's memory: Adrian Dik Che Law '05, a fifth-year architecture student at Cornell, died Jan. 14 in Hong Kong. An exhibit of his architecture and art work is on display this week in the Hartell Gallery in Sibley Hall and a memorial, and reception will be held today, Thursday, Feb. 3, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the gallery. All are welcome.

Fulbright Program meeting: Anyone interested in advanced study or research abroad is invited to an informational meeting about the Fulbright Program for the 2006-07 academic year. The meeting is scheduled for today, Feb. 3, at 4:30 p.m. in G08 Uris Hall. Sponsored by the U.S. state department, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers opportunities for recent graduates, postgraduate candidates and developing professionals and artists to conduct career-launching study and research abroad. Eligibility requirements are: U.S. citizenship, and a bachelor's degree must be earned prior to September 2006 (i.e., members of the Class of '06 and graduate students). Tsunami seminar: The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences will present a seminar, "The Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami:The Science Behind the Headlines" on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in B14 Hollister Hall. Become a master composter: Learn all about composting and then teach others; get involved and have fun volunteering in the community. Training involves 10 Thursday evening classes from Feb. 17 to April 21 and related volunteer work. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 4. Grafting course: A Cornell Web-based, distance-education course in plant grafting will be offered from March 1 to May 6. The registration deadline for the 10-week course, The How, When and Why of Grafting for Gardeners, is Feb. 23. The cost is $300, which includes shipment of live hibiscus plants used in the laboratory exercises, a grafting knife and supplies.
