Frank DiMeo/University Photography
Paleontologist John Cisne, professor of earth and atmospheric sciences, examines a facsimile of The Lindisfarne Gospels in Kroch Library Feb. 25. In that day's issue of the journal Science, Cisne reports that tracing generations of hand-copied manuscripts is helping researchers understand how science and culture were communicated through the Middle Ages.
