Last fall the Johnson Graduate School of Management launched the Cornell Boardroom Executive MBA program, a 17-month program designed for midcareer managers and professionals who want to earn the highly regarded Cornell MBA degree without interrupting their careers. The program already has received a number of inquires from Cornell staff and faculty. To address that interest, Danny Szpiro, director of the program, will be conducting an information session today (Thursday, April 7) at 5 p.m. in 141 Sage Hall.
People who graduate from the program earn two MBA degrees, one from Cornell's Johnson School and one from the business program at partner Queen's University, Canada, ranked the top international MBA program by Business Week, notes Szpiro. The schedule uses a combination of residential sessions and multi-point interactive videoconferencing-based boardroom sessions held on three Saturdays a month, so that those who enroll can continue to advance their careers while studying for their MBAs.
See the program Web site, http://www.johnson.cornell.edu/boardroom, for detailed information, such as course descriptions, admissions requirements, the tuition fee, an overview of the schedule and the application process. Also on the site are a streaming video highlighting the videoconferencing technology and a downloadable program brochure. Specific arrangements regarding the program's eligibility under the Cornell Employee Degree Program are still under discussion. For more information contact Szpiro at 254-1260 or das247@cornell.edu.
