Students will shine at arts showcase

On Saturday from 3:30 to 6 p.m., the Johnson Museum of Art will turn its galleries over to the students, in a public showcase of student performances, exhibitions and readings.

A variety of performing artists and groups will be featured, including the singing groups Touchtones and Nothing But Treble, dance groups Sitara, Impact and On Tap, and the jazz group Juggernaut. Performances by the Risley and Gateway theater groups will be staged. Individual artists' work will be on display in the galleries, along with poetry workshops and readings. The event is free, and refreshments will be served.
