Cornell will offer a new graduate program in community and rural development beginning in the fall of 1997.
The one-year Master of Professional Studies program will provide training for mid-career decision-makers and practitioners.
"Skilled professionals in the field are facing critical challenges every day. This program helps them to meet those challenges with creative, innovative and up-to-date programs and solutions," said Paul Eberts, professor of rural sociology and director of the new program.
Students will be able to explore the program in one of four areas: Community Development Process, Economic Development, Local Government Organization and Operations, and Program Development and Planning.
