Prescription from the past

Edwin Meese, attorney general under President Ronald Reagan, presented a lecture titled "America at the Crossroads" on April 22 in Rockefeller Hall. Meese argued that in order for the country to return to the stature it held during the Reagan administration, there needs to be an emphasis on economic reform, tax reform and improved national security, including the need for a ballistic missile defense initiative. "It was a time of great progress, a time of great prosperity and a time of great satisfaction in government," he said of the Reagan presidency. Adriana Rovers/University Photography
