Cornell's water system was affected by a fuel-oil spill into Fall Creek in Dryden last week, and as
a precaution, a drinking water alert was issued on campus. Some 2,700 bottles of water were
distributed to students at campus residence hall service centers by the Department of Campus Life on Dec. 4,
until the water restriction was lifted later that afternoon. Above, senior Daniel Santamaria, a student
office assistant in Noyes Center, passes out water to sophomores Jon Cosky and Nicole Salas.
