Margaret Hendricks '98, left, and Jessica Klement '99 measure and square up part of the handrail on a pedestrian-bicycle bridge erected last weekend over Cascadilla Creek between the Ithaca Sciencenter and Cornell Cooperative Extension. The members of the Cornell student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers constructed the bridge as a community service project. Steel beams and the cost of raw materials were provided by the city of Ithaca.
