All items for the Chronicle Calendar should be submitted (typewritten, double spaced) by campus mail, U.S. mail or in person to Chronicle Calendar, Cornell News Service, Village Green, 840 Hanshaw Road.

Notices should be sent to arrive 10 days prior to publication and should include the name and telephone number of a person who can be called if there are questions.

Notices should also include the subheading of the calendar in which the item should appear.

Cornell International Folk Dancers
On June 15 waltz-like dances will be taught from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by request dancing until 10:30 p.m. in the Vet School Atrium. Israeli Folk Dancing

Johnson Museum of Art
The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, on the corner of University and Central avenues, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Telephone: 255-6464.

Art for Lunch: Andy Weislogel, Mellon Print Room assistant, will give a tour of the exhibition "Water, Water Everywhere" on June 19 at noon.
Cornell Plantations
Cornell Plantations, the university's botanical garden, arboretum and natural areas, is open free of charge seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. Limited parking is available at the Lewis Headquarters Building at One Plantations Road. Telephone: 255-3020.
* The Bowers Rhododendron Collection is blooming. Take a break in the shade of the ancient pines on Comstock Knoll. The Knoll is adjacent to Plantations' headquarters building; limited parking is available.
* The American Peony Society Garden is in full bloom. Located in the Plantations' headquarters area, adjacent to the greenhouse.
Kroch Library
"The Instinct of an Artist: Shaw and the Theatre" ends tomorrow, June 13, in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections.

Cornell Plantations
On June 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Cornell Plantations is presenting a festival, "Herbs Around the World," featuring lectures, demonstrations and tours. Participants will be able to taste and purchase lavender ice cream, herbal cookies, edible flowers, teas, vinegars and other herb-based products. Admission is $3; children under 12 are free.
The festival is co-sponsored by Auraca Herbalists, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County and the Finger Lakes Herb Gardeners.

* Summer Woods Walk, June 15, 22 and 29, 1 to 4 p.m.: Botanist Robert Wesley will lead three field trips exploring forests and the woodland wildflowers they support. Fee.
* Old Roses for Today, June 27, 7 to 8 p.m., and June 28, 10 a.m. to noon: Join Lee Nelson, curator of the Cutler Botanic Garden, to learn about the virtues of old roses and how to grow them. Fee.
Also, on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, Cornell Plantations is offering free guided tours starting at 7 p.m. in front of the gift shop. The tour June 18 is "Petalled Perfection: The Peony Garden."
Cornell Savoyards

Model Horse Show
Model horse enthusiasts will compete in a show June 14 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Robert Purcell Community Center on North Campus.
