Alain Seznec honored

Alain Seznec, right, the Carl A. Kroch University Librarian at Cornell from 1986 to 1996, recently was honored in the Center for Theatre Arts, where an acting studio was named for him. As dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1978 to 1986, he was instrumental in bringing the building into existence. A professor of French and "occasional actor" who has served on the faculty since 1958, Seznec also helps lead Cornell's Adult University theater trips to London. Here he is shown with Inge Reichenbach, vice president for alumni affairs and development, speaking at the May 21 dedication ceremony. Frank DiMeo/University Photography
