A garden outside of Ithaca's Northeast Elementary School gets some greenery thanks to senior citizen Ann Vander Bogart, Cornell graduate Vincent Lalli and second-graders Stefanie Park and Cameron Morey. Lalli developed the HILT (Horticulture Intergenerational Learning as Therapy) curriculum while he was a graduate student at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to match senior mentors with youngsters who are interested in growing plants.
