Ruka, the young snow leopard pictured in the Aug. 14 edition on Page 11, was being held by Peggy Louer, a veterinary technician from the Burnet Park Zoo in Syracuse. Performing the examination of the young leopard in the Wildlife and Exotic Animal Clinic at the College of Veterinary Medicine but not shown in the photograph were Noha Abou-Madi, D.V.M., postdoctoral associate in wildlife medicine, and George Kollias, D.V.M., the Jay Hyman Professor of Wildlife Medicine.
