Stamp of approval

At the Princeton-Cornell game Saturday, Ithaca Postmaster Edward Gatch, left, and Alan V. Manchester '60 display an enlarged, framed print of the "Pop" Warner commemorative stamp, issued in July. Warner, a legendary football coach, played and coached at Cornell at the turn of the century. Manchester, who is from Warner's hometown of Springville, N.Y., was instrumental in gaining the U.S. Postal Service recognition for Warner. On behalf of Cornell, Manchester received the print from Gatch during a halftime ceremony at Schoellkopf Field. Robert Barker/University Photography
