A Page 3 story in the Oct. 22 edition reported that Veterinary College Dean Donald F. Smith said the State Department of Environmental Conservation will be the lead agency in the state's environmental review process for the university's new system of treating and disposing of its waste. While the DEC is expected to assume that role, there will be no formal decision until a specific proposal is made and a formal State Environmental Quality Review begins.
Also in the Oct. 22 edition, an article on Family and Children's Service of Ithaca and the United Way should have credited Jan Smith as the author.
