Shoemobile: The Department of Environmental Health and Safety has announced that Lehigh Safety Shoe will be on campus with its shoemobile today, Aug. 13. The shoemobile, which provides a large selection of safety shoes, will be at the Environmental Health and Safety Building, 201 Palm Road (east of the Orchards off Route 366), from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and from noon to 3 p.m. Employees eligible to receive department reimbursement for safety shoes should use an L-order with an authorized signature when purchasing shoes, using Lehigh Safety Shoe as the vendor. The maximum monetary amount allowed by the department should be stated on the L-order. Employees going to the shoemobile may do so on work time with supervisory approval. Tower Road reopens: Tower Road from Route 366 to Garden Avenue opened ahead of schedule this week. Construction on Tower Road from Garden Avenue to East Avenue proceeds on schedule and will be complete in mid-October.

·Bus routes: All of the Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) buses -- routes 5, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 50, 51, 55, 56, 80, 81, 83, 84 and 92 -- that have been detoured to Campus Road during the construction will go back to the regular Tower Road route Monday, Aug. 17. At that time, the bus stops will be relocated to their Tower Road locations: Corson/Mudd Hall and the Dairy Bar for eastbound routes, and at Bradfield and Kennedy halls for westbound routes. Routes that normally run on Tower Road between East and Garden avenues will continue to detour onto Garden Avenue until the steam and chilled water reconstruction project is completed in mid-October. ·Parking changes: During the summer construction, Cornell's Commuter and Parking Services has been allowing Cornell commuters to park closer to the detoured bus stops by honoring "O" permits in the "K" and "C" areas. Due to the completion of the Tower Road projects, all "O" Permit privileges will return to normal Monday, Aug. 17. If you have any questions, call Transportation Services at 255-4600.
